Are you one of the many people who are dissatisfied with their current professional situation? You don’t want to waste your valuable time in a job that doesn’t fulfill you? That’s understandable, because a large part of your motivation is the feeling of having achieved something. For many, this thought is synonymous with “having created something“. In the modern economy, many people find themselves wondering whether their work still produces things that they can be proud of.
For craftspeople, this question doesn’t even arise because they can look at their work at the end of the day and see what they have created today. But how can I achieve the same without having to go through a full training course in the craft? Read on to find out more.

Discovering and promoting skills as a craftsman Craftsmanship is in the blood of many people
Most of us were more involved in manual work when we were younger. The advantage over much of today’s office work is that you can clearly see what you have achieved at the end. If you ask craftspeople about their motivation for their profession, this is also a common answer: “I can go home after work with the good feeling that I have created something new that I was able to make other people happy with. You hear something similar from artists who produce commissioned work.
If this idea doesn’t sound familiar to you, it’s probably because outside of the trades, arts and care, very few people have interpersonal motivation in their day-to-day work. Think about whether this is perhaps what you are missing in your professional life.
But how exactly is this supposed to help a person who is dissatisfied with their current situation? After all, very few people are prepared to switch from their current job to a new apprenticeship. Well, not all skilled trades are associated with vocational training. Of course, a certain amount of practice and specialist knowledge is still required, but many people are amazed when they realize what manual skills lie dormant within them. These skills are just waiting to be discovered and developed!
The story of the dream job - why you have the chance to be happy in your profession as a craftsman Find your happiness in laying seamless floors
Many people know from an early age what they want to do for a living. The idea solidifies, they put everything into it and are completely absorbed in their work. That is an enviable life path.
Many young people in particular feel discouraged by such stories because they don’t know exactly what they would like to do one day due to the sheer choice of possible careers. But adults, too, whose career path has so far been rockier than the quaint fairytale of the perfect job, think that all they can do now is wait longingly for retirement. But the reality is quite different!
