Epoxy resin flooring in living areas Customized epoxy resin flooring for your home—comfortable and modern

There is an increasing demand for solid, seamless, and durable solutions in new buildings and existing properties. Property owners often opt for epoxy coatings. Not only do they look elegant in bathrooms, but they also offer impressive benefits. The smooth surface of EP flooring is hygienic and easy to keep clean.

The synthetic resin layer not only provides reliable sealing, but also prevents water damage in your home.

The system is also used to create floors with a three-dimensional effect. Pigments are added for this purpose, which are spread artistically in streaks using a squeegee. Marbled surfaces can also be created in this way.

3D floors can be produced by laminating three-dimensional floor stickers with the resin. The same technique is also used to integrate customised photo prints into the modern flooring system.

The coating can also be used to apply a sealant to existing tiles, parquet and laminate to protect them from scratches.

Living room with epoxy Epoxy floors - Elegant design for living room and bedroom

It has long been known that epoxy floors are the first choice in the commercial sector for floors in showrooms, warehouses and assembly halls or stores. Now that they have found their way into private homes, they are becoming increasingly popular. Thanks to the special properties of the material, beautiful effects can also be achieved in living areas. The different variants allow the epoxy resin floor to be individually adapted to the interior design in the living room or bedroom. Such a coating is the highlight of the entire house, which is both functional and visually impressive.

Epoxy in garages An ideal combination visually and functionally: epoxy resin floors for garages

Concrete floors in garages and cellars are usually not very visually appealing. On the one hand, these are susceptible to breakage and stains. Due to their lack of impermeability, they cannot provide long-term protection against moisture and the associated consequential damage. On the other hand, they hardly offer the opportunity to adequately showcase a well-maintained vehicle or a well-equipped workbench.
Our 2K epoxy resin floors can be used to create a completely waterproof floor coating. This is robust and hard-wearing so that it can also withstand the stress of traffic.

Synthetic resin floors in industrial halls Robust epoxy resin subfloor for industry, trade and commerce

Epoxy resin flooring for industrial use

The hard-wearing synthetic resin coatings are ideal for surfaces used in trade and industry. Heavy machinery and heavy-duty shelving can be placed on them without hesitation. The synthetic resin floors are the ideal solution for storage rooms, laboratories and industrial halls, as epoxy makes the surface resistant to dust and chemicals.

When using pallet trucks and forklifts, the smooth, even surface makes it easier to load and unload transporters and shelves with pinpoint accuracy.

The low build-up height of the resin coating makes it easier to avoid hard transitions between areas with different floor coverings.

Design and functionality don’t have to be mutually exclusive! Even in industrial areas, a color on the floor that matches the company has a completely different effect than the dull grey of old, cracked concrete floors.

With a Qubo® epoxy industrial floor, you can divide different production areas with colors, mark paths and storage areas, indicate emergency exits – the possibilities are extensive. The desired color can be determined according to RAL numbers, which, in addition to the large selection, also ensures safety when planning construction projects.

How is an epoxy resin floor constructed?

Our Qubo® Resin epoxy resin flooring generally consists of at least two layers. The bottom layer is the same for all types of construction and consists of a primer in the desired floor color, which evens out any unevenness. The actual design layer is applied to this now even base.

With colored epoxy flooring, this is the pigmented epoxy resin. In addition to the desired color, the design layer can be enhanced with special pigments and effects. A pigmented epoxy resin floor with a glossy surface is already laid at this point.

To give the surface a matt look or a silky matt finish, a suitable sealant can be applied at the end.

With the 3D floor, the photo film is fixed after priming. The final top layer is then poured using the transparent resin.

When can an epoxy resin floor be walked on?

Each of the applied layers can be walked on after a curing time of 24 hours. Depending on the existing substrate, additional preparation steps may be necessary so that the finished floor can be fully walked on after 3-4 days. The epoxy resin is fully cured and can withstand maximum loads after 7 days.

On which substrates can an epoxy resin floor be laid?

In general, conventional screed floors are suitable as a substrate for our Qubo® epoxy resin. Existing tiles can also be reworked if they are pre-treated accordingly.

What installation height do epoxy resin floors have?

A coating made of Qubo® epoxy resin is characterized by its extremely low installation height of only 2-3 mm.

What colors can I install epoxy resin floors in?

In principle, a large selection of colors can be made available on customer request. The design options are extended by the possibility of sprinkling in particles for metallic and glitter effects and mixing color pigments with each other.

Do I have to worry about solvents?

No, all Qubo® Resin flooring systems are solvent-free.

How long does it take to lay an epoxy resin floor?

An epoxy resin floor is created in three steps, each of which is followed by a day of drying time. On the first day, the substrate is prepared and provided with a primer layer. The decorative layer is applied on the second day. The sealing follows on the third day.

Is an epoxy resin floor non-slip?

The final step in creating a floor is the application of the seal. This seal can also be made slip-resistant. For special requirements regarding the slip resistance class, simply contact us in advance.

How is an epoxy resin floor cleaned?

The even surface and the resistant material give dirt no chance to penetrate the floor. This means that dirt can simply be wiped off the surface and liquids absorbed. This applies to epoxy floors in living areas as well as utility areas in cellars and garages.

In general, mild household cleaners should be used to clean Qubo® Resin floors and aggressive cleaning agents should be avoided. The latter should not only be used with caution in terms of health, they can also cause lasting damage to the surface of the flooring system.

Is an epoxy resin floor waterproof?

Once the material has fully cured and chemically set, the epoxy resin floor is completely waterproof. This means that the system is also suitable for use in wet areas.

What different types of epoxy resin flooring are there?

The Qubo® epoxy resin flooring systems are available in several versions with different areas of application.

Qubo® Resin floors are used to create surfaces that combine attractiveness and durability. The materials in this series are used to create the familiar 3D floors with three-dimensional photo foils as well as pigmented coatings with a concrete look and many other desired colors and effects.

The Qubo® EP07 is a system specially developed for industrial use, which allows thin, particularly robust coatings in the desired color for areas subject to extreme stress.

Is an epoxy resin floor suitable for use in the garage?

Sprechen Sie uns einfach an.
